Fruity

Can we please please please just take a second to appreciate how adorable watermelon clothing/accessories are this summer? I went a little mad in Brighton's H&M. I bought the cutest crop top and canvas bucket bag! I was tempted to wear red lipstick but I wanted all attention on the top! I wore this to the cinema to see Maleficent (which may I add is amazing). I've also given my extensions the snip to give my hair just a fuller healthier look. Bye bye fake looking long hair! I will be posting about the extension war I seem to fight with myself daily! I only really wear them on days off and nights out.
I finally gave my Kelly Brook nail polish a go, which went really well with the greens in the top and bag. The pencil skirt seems boring but I wanted to dull it out a bit. The top is also very very cropped so I needed a bottom piece that came up quite high on my body. Enjoy ladies! This shall be the last from me till my birthday!

Parrot fenzie.

I'm aware I have started sounding crazy towards anything remotely tropical looking. It can't be helped. I used to be so scared of print, my wardrobe was once so so boring. Now? You need sunglasses, it's all a bit much but for the better. So another work outfit became another favourite. This is my parrot co ord. I've been after this two piece for so long and finally got my hands on it when I went to the Brighton New Look. The shorts are quite short so I do recommend going up a size so they are loose fitting on the legs. So I wasn't all out I paired it up with my wonderful trusted inspire coral blazer. Perfect for a lazy day.

As you'll be able to see in picture two, I had a bit of a spend up in Brighton. That was one of the looks I purchased, including Kelly Brook mascara, Kelly Brook lime green nail polish and the cutest long necklace. Definitely worth a try.

I've been drankin' watermelon.

It's time to own up to my current obsession. WATERMELONS!  Again this whole outfit is from New Look which was perfect as I could wear it to work. As you can probably tell I have a think for co ords now. I can't get enough of them! The bigger and bolder the print the better! Especially when it's covered in watermelons. Although I probably started to resemble a Hawaiian holiday rep, I really don't care! I felt happy and confident in this piece. Again I did not accessorise this look as I think the print was enough. I did however add some more red with my wonderful Mac 'ruby woo' lipstick. Hope you like it! Remember do not be afraid of slim fitting clothes, bold prints and two pieces!

Tropical co-ord

Ola ladies! It's been a while but I seem to now have a backlog of wonderful outfits I want to share with you. I shall begin with this beautiful co-ord. I must admit that when I was first looking into buying one I was worried how fitted it would look on me, but I simply went up a size on the skirt so it skimmed my tummy, and down a size on the top to nip me in at the waist. Highly recommend it to anyone with a shapely body.

I did however, wear this to Brighton for the day so I paired it up with a lightweight cardigan just incase it got a little chilly. I went for a close pink as you see in the print, just to lighten the look. I kept to neutral makeup. I used my absolute favourite nude Mac lipstick, 'kinda sexy'.  I didn't accessories the outfit at all, the print says enough.

Don't be scared of showing some skin!

#effyourbeautystandards

Hello beautiful ladies... today's post isn't really to do with fashion or clothes, more so what's beneath. I'm doing my best to spread a little body positivity to as many curvy ladies as possible. It's summer again and of course all you see everywhere in magazines is 'bikini bods' 'summer body diets' '7days to look great for summer'. Well here's the thing, you already look good. Do not let the media and judgemental society dictate as to whether you're ready to wear a bloody bikini. I'm sick to death of it. Why is it we only get complimented and acknowledged for losing weight, or changing our image? Why are we not supporting one another and congratulating them on feeling good in their own skin? It's appalling.

We're constantly slating each other without even realising it. I work in a clothes shop and I'm continuously deafened with the usual comments about larger sized clothes by customers. "oh look at the size of that!" "I'd hate to be that fat" "I'd be depressed if I were that size" Well I appreciate they may be smaller, but bigger girls need bigger clothes. FACT.

A positive mindset isn't easy to find. It took me years to like myself. I hated every inch of me from the age of 12. I'm 21 now and I can safely say in the last few months I'm finally where I want to be. It's not easy to ignore the criticisms of the world, but once you've realised that the only persons opinions on your own body you need to listen to are yours then, ladies, you will be there.

The media thrives off our insecurities, making billions on products and advertisements in products we bully ourselves into buying. Media telling us we need to get thinner, telling us it's not ok to age, it's not ok to have cellulite. Well I say screw them. Screw their opinions, screw their false statements. You are you. You have one body, one life, so are you going to spend your life worrying about how someone will perceive you in a bikini or are you going to put that bikini on, smile and think to yourself wow, I look so fabulous?

Think ladies, if people are that low in judging you for your size then clearly they can't be happy in their own skin. Pitty them, show them how amazing you are and how beautiful you know you can be. This may have sounded like a rant but it's not, I am happy, I have flaws, but physically I couldn't care less about the flaws. I'll use this time making myself a better person, not attempting to fill a forever empty void that is vanity. I have a beautiful body. If you think different then keep it to yourself because quite frankly I'm too busy smiling to listen.

So lets join the beauty movement. Let's all feel fabulous.

Vogue

Hey the fabulous plus size ladies, I'm quite excited to share this outfit as I've only just finished getting it all together. I've had it in my mind for so so long. Depending on the weather it's a great outfit to be finished with a colour block blazer, however I chose to keep it clean cut and simple. So now the entire focus on the Vogue tshirt. I paired it up with some ripped boyfriend jeans (my favourites), strappy heels and some fierce lipstick. My frame is top heavy but I really couldn't care less! I love vogue and white t's. So here I am. Enjoy!
